Regular Called Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees Sabine Pass Independent School District will be held in the Teaching Theater of the District.
It has been found and determined that in accordance with the policies and orders of the Board, that notice of this meeting was posted publicly at the School District in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, section 552.001 et. Seq., and that all of the terms of the said article have been fully complied with and the 72-hour notice required has been properly and correctly given.

The Subjects to be discussed or considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as follows: (any order may be used in the conduct of the meeting)
1. Call meeting to order.
a. Pledge of allegiance.
b. Pledge of allegiance to Texas Flag.
Honor the Texas Flag, I pledge allegiance to Thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible.
2. Public comments.
3. Approve minutes of July 14, 2008 and August 7, 2008 meetings. (Action)
4. Approve payroll and bills. (Action)
5. Superintendent’s announcement for the employment of contract personnel.
6. Board consideration and approval of the Student Code of Conduct for the 2008-2009 school year. (Action)
7. Principal Announcements.
8. Superintendent Announcements.
9. CLOSED (EXECUTIVE) SESSION: As determined by the Board of Trustees, there may be a closed session pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act (Texas Government Code 551.001) to discuss items related to personnel (Texas Government Code, section 551.074), attorney consultation (Texas Government Code, section 551.071). *Any action by the Board will be taken in Open Session. (Action)
10. Announcements or recommendations if necessary following Closed (EXECUTIVE) Session. (Action)
