8th Grade Parents: Doors for graduation will open at 6:00pm this evening. Please make sure your graduate arrives no later than 6:30pm. Please no balloons in the auditorium. We can hold them for you in a spare classroom until the end of the ceremony. We look forward to seeing you all this evening to celebrate our soon-to-be high schoolers!
Middle school students are not allowed to bring gaming systems on Friday. Teachers will have something planned in their classroom each period. Summer is almost here!!!
8th Grade Parents: If you have a female wearing high heels for graduation, please make sure they bring them to school tomorrow so they can practice walking in them. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all Thursday evening!
Middle School will be having their annual school picnic tomorrow. The school will provide hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch. After lunch, the students will have their choice of participating in an outside or indoor activity. If your student(s) will be spending the afternoon outside, then it would probably be a good idea if they bring their own personal sunscreen. Students are not allowed to share sunscreen in case someone is allergic. We are nearing the end, so it is time to let loose and have a little fun!
Please ensure your students come to school tomorrow with their assigned Chromebooks, chargers, and or calculators. We also need them to return with any checked out library books. Students that are gone for UIL will be collected when they return. Any lost or missing items can be paid for at the main office. All Seniors must have a cleared account to participate in graduation.
SPISD One Act Play public performance scheduled for tomorrow afternoon has been postponed. The public performance will be changed to a later date to be determined.
Junior and/or Senior Parents: Please be sure your students have returned their RSVP for the Honors Banquet (5/23) as soon as possible so we can plan appropriately. The students have a Google form they can use to respond. Thank you!
BASEBALL SCHEDULE CHANGE: Due to weather the double-header vs. Evadale for tonight will now be played AT SABINE PASS.
First game begins at 3:30PM.
Senior Night will take place between the two games.
Testing will begin tomorrow. Please be sure to help your students be as successful as possible by:
-Having their Chromebooks fully charged each night before testing
-Being rested and having a good meal the morning of testing

SPS Elementary Parents: Due to the inclement weather forecast on Friday, we will be moving our Earth Day festivities to Thursday, April 20th. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you are still able to join us on Thursday for the celebration.
Today and Friday’s baseball games vs Spurger have been postponed and will be made up at a later date.
SCHEDULE CHANGE: Tonight's Softball/Baseball games (4/3) against West Hardin will be doubleheaders. The first games will begin at approximately 3:45PM.
REMINDER: Today's Super STAAR Saturday will have school pick-up starting at 12:30PM and Bus pick-up at the bridge at 12:45PM.
REMINDER: Tomorrow is the SPISD Grandparent Celebration Lunch for ELEMENTARY students. All those wishing to take part should RSVP if they have not already. Adult meals are $3.95 (Cash only).

Please be sure that all students are charging their chromebooks at home everyday. This is part of all MS/HS classroom expectations and is especially important now that STAAR/EOC testing is taking place. Thank you for your help in making all our students as productive and engaged as possible.
REMINDER: All MS and HS students should refrain from bringing balloons, flowers, or other items to school. Such items will be kept in the front office to avoid disrupting classes.
Elementary students having Valentine's Day activities this week may bring items approved by teachers to school.
We will be conducting STAAR/EOC-related testing throughout the week. Be sure to encourage your students to be rested and ready to do their best. Thank you for all your support!
Due to the heavy rain this afternoon (Wednesday 2/8) SPISD will have the car rider pick-up for students in the garage underneath the Main Building.
In order to help ensure our students are receiving full instruction and not missing class time due to arriving after the bell we will have a breakfast option available on the last bus from the bridge each morning.
This will begin Monday Feb 6th. and will ensure students have the opportunity for a breakfast even if they arrive after the cafeteria has concluded service.
Any student leaving on a bus before the 7:30AM cut-off will still have time to eat in the cafeteria.
Due to the inclement weather forecasted for this afternoon, Sabine Pass ISD will be releasing students at 12:45PM TODAY Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The buses should be at the bridge for drop-off by 12:55. All scheduled practices for today are canceled and games will be postponed to a later date.
